Here we go...

Ok ladies (and gentlemen), we're back. Wow, it has been an eventful year… finally settled in Austin and loving it! I still miss San Diego… mostly because of the friendships I forged there (and the weather, of course). You would think that 14 years as the spouse (not dependent) of a career Navy guy would have prepared me to move yet again. Not so.

In addition, not being able to work side by side on hypatia with Carrie has been an adjustment... one that I underestimated the impact of. Proof of that is our loss of traction with all things hypatia. Since we first decided to move forward with creating this blog, I have almost daily wanted to write about something… an experience, a story I read, a newscast I saw, etc.
